Tamar Hammer was born in Afula, Israel and grew up in Israel. She earned her BFA in the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. In 2004 she immigrated to the US with her spouse and their son. Since 2013 she has been living in Portland, Oregon. Her work has been published or is about to be published in different printed and online venues, such as Buffalo Almanack, Meat for Tea: The Valley Review and VoiceCatcher Journal.
